Getting discovered by scouts

How ScoutEvo's search and visibility works, and what you can do to improve your chances of being found.

Every day, coaches and scouts on ScoutEvo search for players using filters like position, level, league, location, and age. Here's how to make sure you show up.

How search works

When a scout runs a search, they filter by criteria and browse results. Results are ordered in this order: Pro players marked Open to offers, then other Pro players, then complete profiles, then incomplete ones. A profile counts as complete when it has at least three of these: a photo, your position, your level or league, and your current team.

Profile completeness

The most important things to have filled in for searchability:

  • Position, level, league, and current team — these are the primary search filters scouts use
  • Location (city and province/state)
  • Season stats — many scouts filter by these
  • Highlight videos — scouts click on profiles with videos first
  • A profile photo

Pro search boost

Pro players appear higher in search results, and Pro players marked Open to offers appear at the very top. If you're actively seeking recruitment opportunities, Pro is worth considering.

Profile views

Go to Who viewed your profile to see your views over the last 30 days and the role of each viewer. Pro players see who specifically viewed their profile — name, role, and organization.

Watchlist notifications

If a scout adds you to their watchlist, you'll receive an in-app notification. This is a signal that someone is actively tracking your development. Pro players can also see how many scout lists they've been added to.

Stay active

Post updates, share stats, and keep your profile current. Activity on the platform increases your visibility in the feed of scouts and coaches who follow you or your connections.
