ScoutEvo exists because the platform we needed as players never existed. We built it ourselves.
The Problem
Hockey had no home base.
For players, getting noticed has always come down to cold outreach — emailing coaches you've never met, sharing highlight links and hoping they get watched, relying on the right person to catch your name at the right moment.
For staff, the challenge is the other side of the same coin. Finding the right players takes time, network, and a system that works for you — and connecting with players who aren't already on your radar means starting from scratch.
Both sides are doing a lot of work. ScoutEvo gives them a shared place to do it.

I played junior hockey and hung up the skates in 2015. Like a lot of players, my path through the game wasn't straightforward — and I know firsthand how much the right visibility at the right time can change a career.
After hockey, I stayed connected to the game the only way I knew how. I started The Junior Hockey Podcast with some friends — which eventually grew into The Hockey Focus, a hockey multimedia company covering all things hockey.
Through The Hockey Focus, I spent years talking to players, parents, coaches, scouts, and everyone in between. And I kept hearing the same thing, over and over: there was no central place to showcase who you were. No easy way to get in front of the right people. No tools to manage any of it.
It was the same problem I lived as a player.
