Events: tournaments, showcases & tryouts
How to find events, mark yourself attending, post or claim an event, and who can see attendance.
The Events board lists upcoming hockey tournaments, showcases, tryouts, ID camps, clinics, and open ice. Anyone can browse it, even without an account. Filter by type, birth year, region, and men's or women's hockey.
Marking yourself attending
On any event, click I'm attending. This tells scouts and coaches you'll be there. It does not register you for the event, so always register with the organizer using the Register link.
- Players are visible to scouts by default. Switch to count only any time to be counted without your name being shown.
- Staff are counted only by default. Choose show my name if you want players to know you'll be there.
Who can see attendance
- Everyone sees the number of players and verified scouts and coaches attending. Nobody is named publicly.
- Scout and coach names (only those who chose to show their name) are visible to staff and to Pro players.
- Player names are visible only to verified staff on Pro, and only for players who chose to be visible. Players never see other players' names.
- Minor players are counted anonymously until a parent has given consent.
- Profiles show the same information to the same people: a player's upcoming events are visible to verified Pro staff, and staff profiles list the events they host and those they chose to show their name on.
Posting an event
Click Post an event on the Events board. Events are posted by the people running them, so posting and claiming are for organizers with a staff account (coaches, directors, team managers); players can mark themselves attending on any event. Posting is free. Like ScoutEvo itself, events are for players 13 and older, so events only for younger age groups (8U–12U) can't be posted. Add the type, dates, location, and birth years, plus the official registration link so people can sign up. You'll see a live preview of how your event looks on the board.
Your first event is reviewed by our team, usually within a day. After that, your events go live right away. Once published, share the link in your groups and team chats — it shows a preview card with the date and location.
Tip
Only post events you organize or are authorized to share, and keep the details up to date. You can edit or delete your event from its page.
Claiming an event
Some events are listed by ScoutEvo on the organizer's behalf. If you see Is this your event? on your event, click Claim this event and tell us your organization and role. Once we approve it, you can edit the event, and your future events go live without review.
Pro tools
- Players (Pro): see which scouts and coaches are attending, and add an event to a program in My Recruiting.
- Staff (Pro): see every attending player with position, birth year, and team (verified staff), and start a private scouting log for the event in your pipeline.
Weekly events email
Each Monday we email you new events posted that week that match your birth year, region, and hockey type — only when there's something new. Turn it off from the link in the email or in notification settings.
