Setting up your staff profile
How to build a complete staff profile including roles, experiences, certifications, and contact info.
Your staff profile is how players, parents, and colleagues know who you are. A complete profile builds credibility and improves response rates when you reach out to players.
Role & headline
Go to Edit Profile → Role & Headline. Select all roles that apply to you (Scout, Coach, GM, Advisor, etc.). Your headline is a short one-liner — keep it concise and specific, e.g., "Head of Player Development, New England Stars."
Experiences
Go to Edit Profile → Experiences. Add your current and past positions. For each entry include:
- Organization name
- Role title
- Level and league
- Start and end year (leave end year blank and check Current for your active role)
Your current position (marked as Current) shows in your profile header and in the messaging sidebar when players receive messages from you.
Tip
Add a brief description to each experience entry — it gives context about what your role involved.
Playing history
If you played competitively, add your playing history under Edit Profile → Playing History. This adds credibility with players and parents who want to understand your background.
Certifications
Add coaching certifications (e.g., USA Hockey Level 4, Hockey Canada, etc.) under Edit Profile → Certifications. These appear on your public profile.
Education
Add your educational background under Edit Profile → Education.
Contact info
Go to Edit Profile → Contact to add your email, phone, website, and social links. You control who can see this — set visibility to Connections only or Everyone.
Getting verified
Verified staff profiles show a blue checkmark. This increases player trust and response rates significantly. See the Verification help article for how to apply.
