Building your player profile
How to fill out every section of your player profile to maximize visibility to scouts and coaches.
Your ScoutEvo profile is your hockey resume. Scouts search the platform daily — a complete, accurate profile is what gets you found.
Position & playing info
Go to Edit Profile → Position & Level. Fill in your position, shooting hand, current level, league, and team. This information appears directly in search results, so accuracy matters.
Season stats
Go to Edit Profile → Stats and add stats season by season. Include GP, G, A, PTS, and PIM. Scouts use stats as an initial filter, so keep this current.
Team history
Add every team you've played for under Edit Profile → Teams. Include the season, level, and league. This builds a picture of your development path.
Highlight videos
Go to Edit Profile → Highlights and paste your YouTube or Vimeo links. You can add multiple videos and label them (e.g., "2024-25 Season Highlights," "Power Play Clips").
Tip
Scouts often decide within the first 30 seconds of a highlight video. Lead with your best plays.
Awards & honors
Add any awards under Edit Profile → Awards. Include team awards, league awards, tournament MVPs, and academic honors.
Education
Add your school, graduation year, and GPA under Edit Profile → Education. For players being recruited to college programs, this is important information for coaches.
Bio
Write 2-4 sentences about your game, your goals, and what makes you the player you are. Be specific — "I play a two-way game with strong defensive-zone coverage and am actively looking for junior opportunities for 2025-26" is better than "I am a hard-working player."
Contact info
Add your contact info under Edit Profile → Contact and set visibility to Connections only or Everyone so coaches can reach you outside the platform.
