Using scout lists

Scout Lists let you organize players into named groups — by position, tournament, region, graduation year, or however you prefer to work. Each player on a list can have private notes and a full scouting report.

Creating a list

1. Go to Recruiting in the top nav and open the Lists tab
2. Click New List
3. Give it a name (e.g., "2025 Forward Targets" or "USPHL Prospects – March")

Free accounts include 1 list with up to 25 players. Pro accounts have unlimited lists and players.

Adding players to a list

You can add players from two places:

• From a player's profile — click the list icon on any player profile and select the list
• From within a list — use the search bar inside the list to find and add players by name

Writing scouting notes

Each player entry on a list has a private notes field. Click the player row to expand it and write your observations. Notes are visible only to you (and colleagues you share the list with).

Scouting reports (Pro)

Pro accounts can write structured scouting reports per player. A report includes:

• Skill ratings (Skating, Puck Skills, Shooting, Hockey IQ, Compete, Defense/Positioning)
• Projection and overall grade
• Free-form written evaluation

Access reports from the player row inside a list.

Exporting (Pro)

Export any list to PDF or CSV using the Export button at the top of the list. PDF exports include player details and your scouting notes. CSV exports are useful for importing into other tools.

Sharing a list (Pro)

Share any list with colleagues using the Share button. Set permissions per person — View only or Edit. Shared lists appear in the recipient's Scout Lists section.

Importing players

You can bulk-import players to a list via CSV. The file needs a column for player name or ScoutEvo profile ID. Use this to quickly migrate an existing tracking sheet.
